Alfred grew up in North Carolina. Alfred’s life was inspired by his parent’s determination, by a first grade teacher who recognized his potential and promoted him from remedial classes to accelerated classes, and by a Howard University professor, who taught Alfred to speak up for his convictions. Alfred is active in civic and professional organizations including Albuquerque’s Council for International Visitors. He graduated from Yale Law School. He was hired to teach at UNM’s School of Law, where he continues to teach now.
